The god became enamored of her, and attempted to woo her with the gift of prophecy, but when Kassandra still refused his advances, he spat in her mouth and cursed her to speak truly, but never be believed.

Klotho worked a great spindle from which she spun the thread of life, and was known as “the Weaver.” She was associated with births and beginnings, and had the power to return to life those which she deemed had died before their time.
