Karma 3811

Karma is a Hindu concept relating to reincarnation, whereby all of one’s acts, words and thoughts are perfectly balanced over the course of a series of lifetimes. By this concept, one is born into the world one had previously made, and prior positive acts promote future benefit, while negative acts redound in harmful effects. Thus, current adverse circumstances, though apparently “unearned” in this lifetime, can be linked to previous bad acts, and unforeseen advantages result from former good acts. Karma is an important aid in rejecting blame aimed at others for one’s plight, and an understanding that we reap what we sow.

Astrologically, Karma represents the balance between what we put out and what we receive, the results of our actions, and the aptness of the circumstances which assail us, for good or ill.
