Iris 7

IrisIris is most noted latterly as the goddess of the rainbow, but originally she was the messenger of the pre-Olympian gods, the Titans like Cronos and Rhea, a function later performed by Hermes and his Roman counterpart Mercury. She acted as intercessor among the gods, and between gods and mortals, carrying messages or conveying dictates, acting as mouthpiece for the Titans.

Astrologically, Iris represents the message, sometimes apparent, at others hidden or veiled. It can be overt or based in metaphor, imagery or intuition.
