To some, impeachment has been a long time coming for Donald J. Trump. Manifestly unfit for the job, Trump has proven himself to be incompetent, haphazard, reckless and even dangerous as President. Given repeated examples of his inability to operate effectively on even the most basic levels, with staggeringly obvious lapses of judgment, breaches of ethics, and violations of laws, why did this take so long? As astrologers we have to trust the time, remaining confident that the cosmos knows what it’s doing. A lot of factors needed to converge for Trump to find himself in this fix. And simply put, it just wasn’t time.

Until now.

The underpinning planetary energy of our time has been the conjunction of Saturn and Pluto, which recurs about every 35 years. In its simplest form, just by combining keywords for these energies, we can read this as “transformation in leadership”, “scandal involving the presidency”, even “crime and punishment”, not to get too Dostoyevsky about it. This duo has been playing tag for most of 2019, and will come into exact alignment in January 2020, just as the impeachment trial begins in the Senate.

At the same time, in late December, the President will be receiving an exact hit from a solar eclipse on his natal asteroid Whitehouse on December 26^th. This alignment could conceivably spell the end of his presidency.

My particular focus for the past 15 years has been on asteroids (of which there are some 21,000 named), and there have been several extended pairings of these this year which color the Saturn/Pluto potential and specify it to this moment. I’ll mention four – the first is between asteroids House and Askalaphus; this has been in effect for much of the year, and became exact in early November just as the impeachment hearings entered their public testimony phase. House here would represent the US House of Representatives, and Askalaphus is named for a character in Greek myth who was the original whistleblower. These two coming together prepared the ground for the House to move on impeachment, based in the whistleblower’s complaint.

The second and third are linked; these are a combo of asteroid Whitehouse with Nemesis, Senator and Nancy, also in effect throughout this period. Whitehouse and Nemesis began to come together in mid-August, just as the whistleblower made his or her complaint. This represents a period of enhanced peril, risk of ruin or downfall (Nemesis) for the occupant of the Oval Office (Whitehouse), whoever that may be. These two will come together exactly in early/mid-December, just as the House will be drawing up impeachment articles and voting, and continues well into next year.

Which brings us to asteroid Nancy, which represents Nancy Pelosi, House Speaker. Nancy has been with Nemesis since June, and their connection became exact in early October as the closed-door impeachment depositions began, making Pelosi potentially an agent of Nemesis’ retributive energies. Whitehouse joined the party in August, bringing a focus to Pelosi’s Nemesis potential, a place to direct the energy.

The extended conjunction of asteroids Senator and Whitehouse this year has given Trump a firewall against conviction and removal from office, but as impeachment reaches its trial phase, these two will separate, perhaps eroding this protection, as vulnerable GOP senators such as Cory Gardner of Colorado, Susan Collins of Maine and Martha McSally of Arizona may feel pressure to vote against him

Senator has been traveling with Whitehouse all year (incidentally, one reason why there have been so many senators entering the race – every Senator sees him or herself in the Oval Office with this combination; I count six at least who have thrown their hats in the ring). The Senate has been Trump’s firewall in this proceeding, but enough is enough. After a year together, Senator will begin to pull away from Whitehouse in January, perhaps representing a divergence of interests, just as the trial begins and Trump needs them most.

The final grouping is of Troemper, an asteroid which is closest in pronunciation to Trump, with the aforementioned Saturn/Pluto conjunction (I have followed Troemper for Trump since his announcement of his candidacy, and it tracks very well). These have been together since the spring. This is extremely rare, since asteroids move much more quickly than these planets, but orbital anomalies have kept them in touch throughout this period, making the President very personally subject to the effects of the planetary pair. In addition, their upcoming conjunction in January closely opposes Donald Trump’s natal Saturn, ruling his career, which is exactly conjoined an asteroid named Karma. That suggests an extended period of struggle, hardship and privation (Saturn) focused on Trump (Troemper, his natal Saturn), with an outcome based in his prior actions (Karma), possibly with a devastating effect (Pluto).

You can see from this how impeachment has come into being in this form, point by point, like tumblers in a lock; it simply wasn’t time for it before, which is partly why the Mueller Report never caught fire. The cosmic key is fully in the lock now, and turning; who knows what pops out of the door once opened?

The cosmos also took some time in assembling the relevant payers in this drama as well. Every witness in the recent public hearings of the impeachment probe had a celestial role to play, and most were destined from Trump’s birth to factor into his eventual downfall, as seen through connections from asteroids representing them to his natal Nemesis, a source of cosmic retribution and self-undoing, ruin or collapse.

In session after session in the public impeachment hearings, lifetime, dedicated civil servants gave devastating testimony and withering appraisals of violated norms in the matter of Trump’s efforts to string-arm Ukraine into delivering the goods on his likely 2020 rival. The proceedings kicked off on November 13^th with State Department officials William Taylor, acting Ambassador to Ukraine, and George Kent, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, who detailed a pattern of intimidation and bribery revolving around withheld military aid for Ukraine. Transit asteroid Taylor at 22 Libra was squared Trump’s natal Nemesis at 16 Cancer, while asteroid Kent squared it from 13 Aries. Natally, asteroid George at 15 Cancer conjoins it.

On November 15^th ousted Ukraine Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch spoke about the smear campaign used to undermine her position and ultimately force her removal, when she refused to cooperate with Trump’s plans. Yovanovitch felt threatened and intimidated by Trump’s rhetoric, and was warned by Ukrainian counterparts to vacate the embassy on short notice, for her own safety. At her testimony, transit asteroid Mary (for Marie) at 22 Gemini exactly conjoined Trump’s natal Sun, while transit Maria (also for Marie) at 26 Leo exactly conjoined his Mars. Natally, Mary at 23 Pisces trines Nemesis, and Maria at 22 Cancer conjoins it.

As blistering as these witnesses were, worse was to follow. Trump ally and political appointee Gordon Sondland, Ambassador to the EU, who had been meddling in Ukrainian affairs on Trump’s direction, reversed his earlier closed-door testimony and admitted that there was in fact a quid pro quo, with Trump withholding vital military aid and a proffered White House visit for Ukrainian President Zelensky, contingent upon the latter’s announcement of investigations into the Bidens. Speaking on the 20^th, Sondland also confirmed that the entire administration hierarchy gad been kept well informed of his efforts, including Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney, and the President himself. Transit asteroid Gordonia (for Gordon) at 2 Pisces was sesquiquadrate Trump’s natal Nemesis, and his natal Gordonia at 15 Libra is stationary, conjunct Jupiter and Chiron (spelling “political wound”) and squared natal Nemesis.

On November 21^st Russia expert and aide to NSA John Bolton Fiona Hill testified to her boss’s disdain for the “arms for dirt” extortion, stating he had characterized it as a “drug deal” he wanted no part of, and calling point man Rudy Giuliani “a hand grenade that was going to blow them up.” Transit asteroid Hill at 12 Aquarius was about to return to its natal degree of 20 Aquarius; both are inconjunct Trump’s natal Nemesis, with natal Hill also at station and conjoined the Descendant, granting it an embedded status and angular force and power.

Also testifying that day was David Holmes, a diplomat attached to the Ukrainian embassy, who overheard a phone conversation between Sondland and the President, directly tying Trump to personal knowledge of the shakedown attempt. Transit asteroid Holmes at 22 Virgo was exactly squared Trump’s natal Sun and sextile Nemesis. Natally, asteroid Davida (for David) conjoins Nemesis from 24 Cancer while asteroid Homes at 28 Scorpio is sesquiquadrate.

A parade of lesser witnesses completed the two weeks of testimony, each providing another brick in the cell wall Trump had prepared for himself. Alexander Vindman and Jennifer Williams were both listening on the July 25^th phone call with Zelensky; Vindman shows as asteroid Alexander, which at 19 Cancer conjoins natal Nemesis, while Williams shows as asteroid Jenifer, which at 12 Libra squares Nemesis. Both testified on November 19^th, with transit Alexander at 0 Virgo on Trump’s 29 Leo Ascendant, and Jennifer at 20 Virgo squared his natal Sun.

On November 20^th Laura Cooper, a deputy assistant secretary at the Defense Department, spoke to the Ukrainian consternation over the delay of the military aid; asteroid Laura at 14 Cancer conjoins natal Nemesis, while transit Laura at 4 Capricorn for her testimony exactly conjoins natal asteroid Whitehouse. She was backed up by David Hale, the No. 3 at the State Department and the top professional diplomat there, who characterized Trump’s withholding of aid pending investigations into his domestic political opponents as “unusual”, “inconsistent with the conduct of our foreign policy in general” and agreed that the move, as well as the ouster of Yovanovitch, was “completely inappropriate” and “wrong”. Natal asteroid Davida at 24 Cancer conjoins Nemesis, while natal asteroid Hale at 13 Scorpio trines it; transit Hale at 27 Sagittarius opposed Trump’s natal Sun when Hale testified.

The painstaking care the cosmos took in assembling such disparate persons to match the potential of Trump’s natal Nemesis to provoke his self-undoing is truly remarkable. Each is like another knife thrust at the core of his ruin and downfall. One might make an excellent argument for predestination based on this data.

Going forward, it seems that impeachment by the House before Christmas is definite, though exactly when, and in what format, Mitch McConnell brings this to the Senate floor, and how long he allows the trial to last, is less certain. If I were on Trump’s Astrological Defense Team, I’d counsel a swift and speedy proceeding, commencing as early as possible in January. Right now there are rumblings and rumors of GOP defections in only a handful of cases, but as asteroids Whitehouse and Senator continue to separate, Mr. Trump may find himself isolated and alone, without the Senate support he has come to expect.
