Late Friday evening, June 12, 2020, Atlanta police were called to a Wendy’s restaurant, where 27-year-old Rayshard Brooks was passed out sleeping in his car, blocking the drive-through.  Police gave him a sobriety test, which he failed, and talked with him cordially for over half an hour, while he cooperated and consented to a weapons search of his car, which came up clean.  Brooks suggested he be allowed to walk the few blocks to his sister’s home, but the officers decided to arrest him for DUI.

At this point Brooks resisted, broke free of the officers as they attempted to cuff him, was tackled, struggled and grabbed an officer’s taser before breaking free once again and drunkenly lumbering across the parking lot.  At one point he turned and shot the taser wildly in the officers’ general direction, continuing to run away; Officer Garrett Rolfe shot him twice in the back, killing him.  As Brooks lay prone on the ground, struggling for his life, Rolfe approached and kicked him, asserting, “I got him!”, while his partner stood on Brooks’ shoulder; he then waited more than two minutes before offering medical assistance.

Rolfe was fired in the aftermath; his partner Devin Brosnan has been placed on administrative duty, and Atlanta police chief Erika Shields resigned the day after.   Demonstrators torched the Wendy’s that night, and the Rayshard Brooks case has been added to the litany of police abuses being protested nationally for weeks, with the crime of “SWB”, “Sleeping While Black”, added to the list of capital offenses.

Officer body cams and Wendy’s surveillance footage place the death, ruled a homicide by the Fulton County Medical Examiner, at 11:22 PM EDT.  Rolfe was charged with felony murder on Wednesday the 17^th, five days later, and Brosnan was charged with aggravated assault.

A chart cast for the time of the shooting in Atlanta shows Saturn, ancient lord of death, also ruling the police, rising exactly on the 1 Aquarius Ascendant, opposing asteroid Copland (for the police) at 2 Leo on the 1 Leo Descendant, and asteroid Rolfebode, which incorporates Garrett Rolfe’s last name, at 5 Leo, also angular.  Asteroid Georgia (the state where the shooting occurred)  at 17 Scorpio crests the 20 Scorpio MC, widely opposing Uranus at 9 Taurus, ruling shootings, and asteroid Anubis, named for the ancient Egyptian deity governing funerary rites, at 12 Taurus.

As with the George Floyd death, the Sun, now at 22 Gemini, is still traveling with asteroids Photographica (the video evidence), Atropos (named for the mythic Greek Fate who severs the thread of life at death), Polizzi (for “police”, from the German Polizei and Italian Polizia) and Karma (fate, predestination) at 14, 15, 17 and 19 Gemini respectively.  This solar stellium squares Neptune (drunkenness, also video imagery) exact with Mars (violent death) at 20 Pisces, and a precise pairing at 21 Pisces of the Moon (restaurants) and asteroid Requiem (named for the funeral mass for the dead), with Moon/Requiem also depicting a public death.

Asteroids Garrett and Ralph (for Rolfe) are conjunct Mercury (news) and opposed asteroid Osiris, also in aspect to a Lachesis/Rip opposition, all three asteroid death indicators

These T-Square asteroid Nemesis (ruin, undoing, often self-created, and here portraying both  Brooks’ carelessness in passing out in the drive-thru as well as Rolfe’s shooting of him, which led to the murder charge, his own undoing) at 16 Virgo and portions form a loose Grand Cross with TNO Ixion, named for the first murderer in Greek myth, at 29 Sagittarius.

Ixion has a much more central role to play in another pattern, involving an exact opposition from asteroid Brooks at 29 Libra to asteroid Wray at 29 Aries.  Wray here is a phonetic match for “Ray”, which forms the first portion of Rayshard’s name, and Brooks is embedded at station, about to turn direct on June 17^th, the day Rolfe was charged with Brooks’ murder.    This describes a literal “turning point” for Brooks, which manifested as the loss of his life.  Ixion feeds into this by exact sextile to Brooks, exact trine to Wray, and there is another participant in the pattern, asteroid Damocles, representing the doom hanging overhead unseen, which at 29 Aquarius is also aspected to both of Brooks’ PNAs, by sextile and trine.  The celestial timing required to bring all these points together, each with differing rates of movement, at the same degree of their respective Signs, at the same time, is staggering and a testament to the incredible precision of the cosmos.  Also accompanying Damocles is asteroid Wendy at 2 Pisces, the name of the fast food restaurant where Brooks met his end.

Garrett Rolfe is also represented by asteroids Garrett and Ralph (closest to Rolfe) at 5 and 6 Cancer, conjoining Mercury (news) at 13 Cancer and asteroid Atalante (closest to Atlanta, the city where the shooting occurred) at 4 Cancer.  These oppose asteroid Osiris, named for the ancient Egyptian god of the dead, at 8 Capricorn.  Garrett/Ralph is also semisquare to asteroid Lachesis at 21 Leo, named for the Fate who determines the span of life, a role performed for Brooks by Rolfe; and sesquiquadrate to asteroid Rip (for the acronym “RIP”, “Rest In Peace”, a common tombstone inscription) at 19 Aquarius.  Garrett/Ralph is also semisquare and sesquiquadrate the MC/IC axis at 20 Scorpio/Taurus, firmly tying Garrett Rolfe to the moment of the shooting.

The closest PNAs for officer Devin Brosnan are asteroids Devine and Broz.  Incredibly, these apear at the same degree, 23 Cancer, opposing the Pluto/Jupiter conjunction at 24 and 25 Capricorn, with Pluto the modern lord of death and planetary ruler of homicide, while Jupiter reflects the political ramifications of the act.  This polarity forms a Grand Cross with Wray and Brooks, directly linking Devin Brosnan and Rayshard Brooks.

As of this writing (June 18) no birth data was available for any of the participants.  But judging by past incidents, their nativities are doubtless bound up strongly with each other and the event.
