Taylor & Travis: A Match Made in Heaven?
Swifties the world over were gob smacked by the announcement on 26 August 2025 that pop icon Taylor Swift and her boyfriend, NFL star Travis Kelce, were engaged. The couple had been dating for just under two years, a record for Swift, who is noted for the brevity of her entanglements, and the fodder her failed relationships have been for her music career. No date has yet been set for the wedding, but it is not expected to occur before the 2026 Super Bowl, due to her tour commitments and his playing schedule.
With asteroid Kelsey 6260 at 2 Leo, an alternate spelling and phonetic match for Kelce, conjoined Venus at 0 Leo for the announcement, as well as asteroid Hera 103 at 6 Leo, while opposed Pluto at 1 Aquarius, it’s clear that Travis Kelce (Kelsey) is focused on love, romance and partnership (all Venus traits), ready to transform (Pluto) his life with a long-term commitment (Hera, named for the Greek goddess of marriage). But is Taylor fully onboard?

With asteroid Taylor 2603 at 23 Sagittarius opposed asteroid Aphrodite 1388 at 27 Gemini, Swift has surely been bitten by the love bug (Aphrodite, named for the Greek goddess of love), but butterfly Aphrodite is known more for a “sip and flit” variety of lovemaking, focusing on casual affairs more than lifelong partnerships. Asteroid Swift 5035 at 12 Gemini exactly trine Mars at 12 Libra, arbiter of sexuality, says she’s hot to trot, for certain, but passion can burn out quickly, and is rarely a marker of lasting unions.

One thing the couple has going for them – self-referential asteroids running in tandem, and making important pivots simultaneously. There’s no stand-alone Travis asteroid, but several which are comprised of first and last names strung together as one word, which can be separated and used for either. One of these, asteroid Travisbrown 27507, has been conjoined asteroid Taylor for months, signifying closeness and unified purpose.
Reportedly, the actual question and answer phase of the engagement came several weeks before the public announcement, in early August. At that time, asteroids Taylor and Travisbrown were within a degree of each other (22 and 21 Sagittarius, respectively), slowed to a virtual standstill as they headed to station. Taylor made its direct station on August 7th; Travisbrown followed suit on the 10th. This timeframe likely aligns closely with the fateful decision to join hands and move forward (direct station, when normal forward motion is resumed), continuing this journey together. Stations are periods of special moment and import, when lifechanging events occur or transformational decisions are made, and their choice to make it official at this time augurs well for their ultimate success as a couple.

On a more generic level, additional celestial markers heralded the change in status. Jupiter at 16 Cancer, planet of fame and celebrity, opposes asteroid Briede 19029 at 14 Capricorn, an alternate spelling of “bride,” indicating nuptials where at least the female half of the sketch has some renown. As well, asteroid Singer 10698 at 17 Taurus opposes asteroid Juno 3 at 21 Scorpio, named for the Roman goddess of marriage, so we can intuit that a vocal performer is about to tie the knot. Mercury at 17 Leo in square to each creates a T-Square, and ensures that the announcement makes big news, Mercury-ruled.
I have to say, I take some pride in this situation, because, if the deal goes through, this will be one of the very few prognostications I’ve correctly called in advance. When I profiled Swift in February 2024, just months after she and Travis began dating, I speculated, based on their charts, that he could be “the one.”

This was based in part on an amazingly descriptive triple conjunction of points at station in Taylor’s chart (born 13 December 1989, no confirmed time). Asteroids Taylor, Travisturbyfill 211377 and Briede at 21, 26 and 29 Aries respectively, surely tells the tale of Taylor becoming Travis’ bride, as an important, pivotal moment of her life (station). Remarkably, this grouping forms a T-Square, with opposition to asteroid Union 1585 at 27 Libra, and asteroid Hera (Greek goddess of marriage) on the fulcrum at 27 Cancer, reaffirming the uxorious nature of their relationship.
As well, Swift sports a second Travis referent at station: asteroid Traviscarter 208917, which at 12 Leo turned retrograde five days before her birth, doubling down on the vital importance of someone named “Travis” to her bio. Traviscarter conjoins stationary asteroid Nike 307 at 13 Leo, named for the Greek goddess of victory, and both square asteroid Juno at 8 Scorpio, signifying Travis as the winner (Nike) of the Taylor Swift matrimonial sweepstakes (Juno).

Taylor Swift has one more point at station – asteroid Aphrodite at 26 Leo, which turned retrograde five days after her birth, and speaks volumes to the endless parade of transitory relationships pre-Travis. Although not conjoined Traviscarter, Aphrodite does trine the Travisturbyfill placement exactly, forming a Grand Trine with her exact Sun/asteroid Swift conjunction at 21 Sagittarius.
For Travis Kelce (born 5 October 1989, no time available), the match can be seen in a quadruple conjunction of Venus at 26 Scorpio with asteroids Swift at 25 Scorpio and Groom 5129, exact with asteroid Eros 433, both at 29 Scorpio, in trine to asteroid Hera at 22 Cancer. Swift with Venus indicates a deep wellspring of love, Eros provides the erotic passion, while Groom and Hera provide the potential for making the union official.

And speaking of unions, asteroid Union at 6 Libra exactly conjoins asteroid Valentine 447, in a Grand Trine with an exact conjunction of asteroids Travisbrown and Singer at 9 Aquarius, and a stationary asteroid Kelsey at 4 Gemini, repeating the theme of a love (Valentine) match (Union) with a songstress (Singer) for Travis Kelce (Travisbrown, Kelsey).
How committed are the couple? Will those as-yet-unscheduled wedding bells actually ring out? Travis Kelce surely seems locked in, with transit asteroid Kelsey semisquare asteroid Groom at 14 Virgo. But Taylor Swift may be somewhat uncertain. Transit asteroid Swift is inconjunct asteroid Briede, an aspect that shows a need for adjustment or reappraisal. Given that Briede also conjoins transit asteroid NOT 2857 at 17 Capricorn, a general disqualifier or symbol of negation, don’t be surprised if the bride gets cold feet, with at a minimum, a protracted engagement while she mulls the situation further.
Personally, I’m rooting for that wedding, if only to improve my prediction average. If you’ve been keeping score, it’s Alex 1, Universe 5,743,769. Feels like a comeback!

I remember that prediction! Good job! And I think your prediction rate is a little better than that! It’s certainly been a feel good story that people needed right now. I hope they go the distance. Thanks Alex!
