She was once the toast of Manhattan society, but the recently deceased Ivana Trump, ex-wife of the former president, now rests in her gold-tone casket at a barely marked plot overlooking the first hole at her former husband’s Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey.

Why?  The tax break, of course!  The Donald (a nickname given to Trump by his erstwhile wife, and which stuck) never saw a write-off he didn’t like, or fail to grasp a grift.  In burying Ivana at Bedminster, the property now qualifies as a cemetery, bringing tax relief galore.  New Jersey’s tax code exempts all cemetery land from all taxes, rates, and assessments, and includes no minimum on occupancy, so one human remain would suffice (though allegedly plans are in the works to dump the entire family there in due “course”).  For now, Ivana’s grave is graced with a simple plaque bearing just her name, and the dates of her birth and death.

A family cemetery isn’t the only tax dodge Trump employs at Bedminster.  Ivana’s new neighbors are a flock of goats, housed on an adjacent ten acres dedicated to growing hay, so the property qualifies for an agriculture discount netting some $80K in tax relief annually.

Ivana and The Donald were married in 1977 and divorced in 1992.  For many years she played a significant role in the Trump Organization as an executive officer, and was the mother of his three eldest children, Don Jr, Ivanka and Eric.  Ivana went on to two more marriages and divorces, but was unattached at the time of her death (an earlier, pre-Donald marriage also ended in divorce).

Some degree of mystery surrounds her passing.  A 911 call was placed at 12:40 PM EDT on 14 July 2022, and FDNY first responders found her unconscious and unresponsive at the foot of a staircase in her Manhattan apartment.  She was pronounced dead at the scene, and the coroner ruled her death as accidental two days later, caused by “blunt impact injuries to the torso sustained after a fall.”  She was alone in the apartment, with no sign of forced entry, and just exactly what transpired to land her at the bottom of that staircase will never be known.

But we can see something of its inevitability in her birth chart, and the transits active at the time of her death.

Born at 12:55 AM MET on 20 February 1949 in Gottwaldon, Czechoslovakia (Rodden Rating A), Ivana Trump’s 1 Pisces Sun is clustered about with energies foretelling her ultimate doom.  Asteroid Plunge at 3 Pisces suggests a fall from a height, supported mythologically by asteroid Icarus, also conjoined the Sun from 27 Aquarius.  Icarus is noted for flying too close to the Sun with waxen wings, which melted, precipitating a fatal plunge into the Aegean.  Asteroid Karma at 0 Pisces points toward a life (and possibly a death) intertwined with Fate.

Mars at 6 Pisces completes the solar grouping; it can indicate a violent death, which a fall down a staircase might encompass, and in the past was also noted for accidents.  That function has been taken over by Uranus in today’s astrology, which is trine the Sun from 26 Gemini, so the cosmos has got Ivana coming and going on that one.

The solar stellium squares the natal Moon at 0 Sagittarius, bringing in the domestic environment, and is T-squared with Saturn at 2 Virgo, adding the element of death.  This combination easily explains a fatal (Saturn) fall (Plunge) in the home (Moon), perhaps based in some rash act (also Icarus).  Geographic specificity is gained by asteroid Manhattan, exactly squared plummeting Icarus from 27 Scorpio (where it conjoins the 24 Scorpio Ascendant, establishing the Big Apple’s importance in Ivana’s life).  Semisquare the Sun is asteroid Escalante at 15 Capricorn, the Spanish term for “ladder”, cognate to the French “escalier”, meaning “stairs.”  Escalante is squared Neptune at 14 Libra (sesquiquadrate the Sun), which could point to alcohol or medications as involved somehow in the accident.  Stairs generally, as a connective function, are linked with Mercury; natal Mercury at 5 Aquarius conjoins asteroid Nemesis at 7 Aquarius, known for causing ruin or self-undoing.

So there’s plenty of celestial grist for the karmic mill on the score of the manner of her death.  How about her burial place?

Natal asteroid Graves at 16 Aries squares asteroid Goff at 22 Capricorn; we might take this as a cosmic stand-in for “golf”, particularly with Jupiter, ruling such sports, also here at 21 Cap.  A T-square is formed with Graves’ exact opposition to asteroid Gold at 16 Libra, here reflecting (literally) her gold-tone casket.

Asteroid Plunge was also active when Ivana took her fatal fall.  At 11 Gemini, transit Plunge is exactly opposed natal asteroid Rip at 11 Sagittarius (“RIP”) as well as asteroid Anubis at 13 Sag, named for the Egyptian deity governing funerary rites.  A T-square is formed with natal asteroid Osiris at 13 Pisces, named for the Egyptian god of the dead, and asteroid Atropos at 17 Pisces, named for the mythic Greek Fate who severs the thread of life at death, and this becomes a Grand Cross with the addition of transit asteroid Requiem at 14 Virgo, named for the funeral mass for the dead.

Transit Escalante at 2 Cancer is trine the natal Sun/Plunge conjunction while transit Damocles at 0 Pisces conjoins it, noted as the doom hanging unseen overhead.  Escalante is also semisquare transit Rip at 14 Leo and transit Uranus at 18 Taurus, and sesquiquadrate transit Manhattan at 15 Scorpio, suggesting a fatal (Rip) accident (Uranus) on a New York (Manhattan) stairway (Escalante).

Transit Icarus at 24 Capricorn conjoins transit Pluto, modern lord of death, at 27 Capricorn, again describing a deadly fall (both oppose the transit Sun with Mercury at 22 and 19 Cancer, and transit Osiris at 23 Cancer).  These are squared to the MC at 26 Libra for the 911 call.  The transit Moon (female, mother) at 5 Aquarius exactly conjoins natal Mercury (stairs again), and lies on the fulcrum of a T-square with transit Mars (violent death) at 6 Taurus opposing transit Troemper at 8 Scorpio (our celestial referent for the Trump surname).  Incidentally, transit Goff is here, too, at 6 Scorpio, as is Gold, at 4 Scorpio, with Graves at 2 Taurus, referencing that gold casket at the golf course interment site.

Transit Atropos at 25 Scorpio was conjoined the 24 Scorpio Ascendant and natal Manhattan at 27 Scorpio (as well as the 0 Sag Moon), while transit requiem exactly conjoined the natal MC. Transit Lachesis at 11 Aquarius, named for the Fate who determines the span of life, opposed natal Pluto at 15 Leo, modern lord of death, T-squaring transit Troemper at 8 Scorpio and transit Manhattan at 15 Scorpio, in a Grand Cross with transit Uranus at 18 Taurus.

Much like actress Jane Wyman, who divorced Ronald Reagan before his presidential ambitions surfaced, Ivana Trump never had the chance to become First Lady.  But she did produce a book in 2018 entitled “Raising Trump”, whose subtitle describes her as “America’s First Mother”, proving that the Trump genius for hyperbole and self-aggrandizement was alive and well in her, as well as her former husband.  Not sure how Melania and Barron felt about that.
