It’s been too difficult to keep up with the flood of accusations of sexual misconduct lately, even if one wanted to. Since Jupiter entered sex-and-scandal-obsessed Scorpio in early October, with rape-and-coercion-oriented Aristaeus conjunct the Sun, it’s almost impossible to enumerate the mighty who have fallen.
On Friday, December 1st, 2017, former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn pled guilty to a charge of lying to the FBI, and agreed to cooperate with Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s ongoing investigation into the Trump campaign’s possible collusion with Russia during the election, and subsequent acts which may constitute obstruction of justice on the part of the president.
At 8 AM local time on 27 November 2017, Kensington Palace announced the engagement of Prince Harry, fifth in line to the British throne, to American divorcee and actress Meghan Markle.
Just think of this as the sexual misconduct anti-anthem for “Abraham, Martin and John”: “Anybody here seen a decent gentleman? Can you tell me where they’ve gone?” Following the blockbuster revelations of Harvey Weinstein’s serial sexual harassment and worse (with more than 90 women now alleging abuse), a seemingly unending parade of sexual misconduct allegations have surfaced aimed at celebrities and politicians.
Here we go again. No disrespect, but how many of these do we need to experience before we make some substantive changes in this country regarding gun access?
