Alex's Asteroid Astrology

On January 30, 2024, Justin Mohn, 23, killed and beheaded his father, Michael, 68, at the home they shared in Levittown, PA.  He posted a video of him holding the head, wrapped in a plastic bag, on his YouTube channel, calling his father a traitor because he was a federal employee.  In a 14-minute tirade, Mohn spouted rightwing conspiracy theories and antigovernment slogans, brandishing the head for part of the time, later seen in the background sitting in a cooking pot.  Mohn then took his father’s car and fled the scene, arrested later that evening approximately 100 miles away, after his mother returned home, discovered the body, and phoned 911 at about 7 PM EST. 

Denice Mohn had left the home by 2 PM, so the murder occurred sometime between then and 7 PM, but in the absence of an approximate time, I’ve used the 911 call to represent the event.  Arrest reports list Justin Mohn’s birthdate as 4 November 1991, and social media gives a birthdate of 30 November 1955 for his father.  We’ll be using asteroids linked to famous beheadings or decapitators, as Baptistina 298 (for John the Baptist) and Salome 562 (the daughter of King Herod who requested his head), Judith 664 (a Biblical heroine who removes the head of a drunken Holofernes, an Assyrian general about to destroy her hometown), Orpheus 3361 (mythic musician and singer torn to pieces by the maenads; his decapitated head floated downstream, still singing) and Medusa 149 (the Gorgon decapitated by Perseus).

On the day of the murder, the Sun at 10 Aquarius conjoins asteroid Orpheus 3361 at 14 Aquarius, with asteroid Michel 1348 (one of three referents for Michael, for which there is no exact asteroid match) also conjoined from 17 Aquarius, spotlighting (Sun) the beheading (Orpheus) of Michael Mohn (Michel).  Asteroid House 4950 at 20 Aquarius is just within orb of the Sun, establishing the venue for the crime.  This grouping is squared by asteroid Atropos 2973 at 14 Aquarius, named for the mythic Greek Fate who severs the thread of life at death, accompanied by Jupiter (publicity) at 7 Taurus and Uranus (shocking acts) at 19 Taurus.

Asteroid Judith at 22 Taurus exactly opposes asteroid Michela at 22 Scorpio, the second Michael referent; the 7 PM 911 call places this on the MC/IC axis, at 27 Scorpio/Taurus.  A T-Square is formed with the Orpheus/Michel/House portion of the solar stellium, plus asteroid Requiem 2254 at 21 Aquarius, named for the funeral mass for the dead; and Damocles 5335 at 29 Aquarius, the threat or doom hanging unseen overhead.

Asteroids Medusa and Salome are conjunct each other, at 15 and 19 Gemini respectively, and both are embedded at station (Medusa turned direct on January 24^th, and Salome follows suit on February 7^th, roughly a week before and after the murder).  Stationary points exert a greater-than-usual influence over events, and these cluster atop a natal PNA (Personal-Named Asteroid) for Justin Mohn, asteroid Justiniano 17115, at 18 Gemini, opposing his natal Baptistina at 14 Sagittarius.  Medusa and Salome also oppose transit Justiniano at 13 Sagittarius, conjunct natal Baptistina.  The closest PNA to Mohn is asteroid Mohr 2971, which at 14 Pisces creates a T-Square here (also conjunct Saturn, ancient lord of death, at 6 Pisces).  Natal Atropos at 18 Virgo completes a Grand Cross.

Transit Baptistina at 29 Aries conjoins transit asteroid Lachesis 120 at 23 Aries (named for the Fate who determines the span of life), and exactly opposes transit Justino 230631 at 29 Libra, itself exactly conjunct asteroid Levitan 3566 (for the Levittown address).  Also here is asteroid Michelle 1376 at 1 Scorpio, the third referent for victim Michael Mohn, and a T-Square is formed with Pluto, modern lord of death and planetary ruler of homicide, at 0 Aquarius.

TNO Ixion 28978, named for the first murderer in Greek myth, appears at 5 Capricorn, conjunct asteroid Osiris 1923 at 1 Capricorn (named for the Egyptian god of the dead) and Venus at 8 Capricorn, spelling the death (Osiris) from homicide (Ixion), of and by a loved one (Venus).  These oppose asteroid Photographica 443 at 3 Cancer, reflecting the graphic YouTube posting.

Justin Mohn was apprehended at Fort Indiantown Gap, and even the arresting officer made the celestial grade.  Officer Jacob Gallagher appears as asteroid Jacoby 25869, which at 28 Libra aligns closely with asteroid Justino at 29 Libra, placing police and suspect in proximity; and by asteroid Gallagher 3595, which conjoins Pluto at 0 Aquarius exactly, ruling criminality generally and homicide specifically.

Born 4 November 1991 (no time available), Justin Mohn’s birth chart reveals a cosmic predisposition to enact this horrific crime.  The Sun at 11 Scorpio conjoins Mars at 12 Scorpio, noted for violence and brutal attacks, also ruling knives and machetes, like those used in the murder and beheading.  Also here are death indicators Pluto (homicide) at 19 Scorpio and asteroid Rip 7711 at 14 Scorpio (which functions as a death indicator in the form of the acronym RIP, “Rest In Peace,” a common tombstone inscription), making Justin Mohn in some sense an agent of death.  Asteroid Levitan also conjoins the Sun from 15 Scorpio, showcasing the scene of the crime.

The solar stellium forms a T-Square by opposition to asteroid Salome at 14 Taurus, with asteroid Anubis 1912 on the fulcrum at 18 Leo, named for the Egyptian deity governing funerary rites.  As in the transit sky for the murder, Justin Mohn also has Medusa at station natally, turning retrograde from 12 Cancer on November 15^th, accompanied by asteroids Lachesis and Osiris, both at 11 Cancer, with Lachesis also at station (turning retro the day after his birth). 

These square natal asteroid Mohr at 10 Libra with asteroid Tantalus 2102 at 13 Libra (noted for the commission of heinous acts) and form a T-Square with a cluster of Uranus, asteroid House, Neptune and asteroid Michelle at 10, 13, 14 and 17 Capricorn respectively, symbolizing the horrific (Tantalus), shocking events (Uranus) at the home (House) of Michael Mohn (Michelle), killed (Lachesis, Osiris) and beheaded (Medusa) by his insane (Neptune) son.  Tantalus also resonates to cannibalism, and while there has been no suggestion thus far that Justin Mohn consumed any portion of his father’s body, the placement of the head in a cooking pot is certainly reminiscent of this energy.

As referenced above, natal asteroid Justiniano at 18 Gemini opposes Baptistina at 14 Sagittarius, forming a T-Square with Atropos at 18 Virgo, suggesting Justin’s (Justiniano) role in a death (Atropos) by beheading (Baptistina).  Also with Baptistina are Damocles at 19 Sagittarius, the doom hanging unseen overhead, and asteroid Orpheus at 9 Sagittarius, another allusion to beheading. 

Asteroid Judith at 28 Virgo falls on the Apex of a Yod, or Finger of Destiny, with inconjunct aspects to asteroids Michel at 29 Aquarius and Justino at 29 Aries, uniting father (Michel) and son (Justino) in a fated (Yod) act of beheading (Judith).  Note also that transit Damocles, the threatened disaster, lies exactly on natal Michel for the murder.

Born 30 November 1955 (no time available), Michael Mohn’s nativity also includes presentiments of his ultimate fate, such as the 7 Sagittarius Sun conjunct asteroids Levitan and Michela at 14 and 16 Sagittarius, opposed asteroid Judith at 15 Gemini.  Note that both father and son have Sun conjunct a PNA representing their place of residence (and the location of the murder), opposed an indicator of beheading. 

As well, asteroid Medusa at 27 Aquarius opposes Pluto at 28 Leo, in a T-Square with a Saturn/asteroid Justino/asteroid Photographica conjunction on its fulcrum, at 25, 27 and 29 Scorpio.  This directly connects beheading (Medusa) with homicide (Pluto), death (Saturn), and his son (Justino), as well as the documentation of the crime in that graphic YouTube post (Photographica).  At the time of the murder, transit Damocles, that impending threat or doom, was activating this pattern from 29 Aquarius, conjoined Medusa.

Natal Damocles at 2 Aquarius is bracketed by asteroids Requiem at 28 Capricorn and Justiniano at 6 Aquarius, all in square to Mars at 0 Scorpio conjunct Neptune at 29 Libra, again combining themes of death (Requiem), peril (Damocles), and violence or attacks (Mars), with a son (Justiniano) who is unhinged and fanatical (Neptune).

Further allusions to the tragedy include asteroid Michelle at 14 Taurus conjunct Baptistina at 7 Taurus, identifying Michael Mohn with beheading.  Note that Michelle is an exact match for son Justin’s natal Salome, reinforcing the beheading connection to his father in his psyche.  Baptistina also feeds into the square described above, creating a T-Square, and natal Uranus at 2 Leo completes a Grand Cross, adding elements of shock and extremism. 

Asteroid Salome at 16 Cancer squares TNO Ixion at 21 Libra, another homicide indicator, forming a T-Square with asteroid Rip (death) at 18 Capricorn.  Asteroid Orpheus at 1 Capricorn conjoins Venus at 0 Cap, suggesting beheading (Orpheus) by a loved one (Venus).  Note that transit Osiris, the Egyptian god of the dead, exactly conjoins natal Orpheus for the murder.

The Solar Eclipse of 14 October 2023 at 21 Libra conjoined Michael Mohn’s natal Ixion exactly, prompting his murder, while the subsequent Lunar Eclipse of October 28^th at 5 Taurus conjoined Baptistina, refining the method used.
