Minneapolis Church School Shooting
Shortly before 8:30 AM CDT on 27 August 2025, a black-clad individual approached the Annunciation Catholic Church school, while elementary students were celebrating a school-wide mass to commemorate the start of the academic year. Robin Westman, 23, began shooting through the stained-glass windows of the church, firing dozens of rounds before committing suicide. Two children, aged 8 and 10, were killed, and 17 others injured, including 14 children and 3 octogenarians.
Born Robert Westman, Robin identified as female and legally changed her name in 2019. Westman posted two YouTube videos, manifestos timed to appear posthumously, referencing suicide, depression, “extremely violent thoughts and ideas”, and a drawing of the layout of a church. The videos also showed several guns, bullets and magazines; messages were written on the guns, including antisemitic, anti-Catholic, and racist phrases, along with the names of mass shooters such as Adam Lanza and Anders Behring Breivik, both of whom also killed children. Westman used a rifle, a shotgun, and a pistol in the attack, all purchased legally within days of the shooting.
A chart set for 8:30 AM CDT in Minneapolis reveals the attack in stark detail. At the 26 Virgo Ascendant we see asteroids Roberts 3428 (a form of Robert, the shooter’s given name) and Apophis 99942, exactly conjoined at 16 Virgo. Apophis is named for the ancient Egyptian personification of pure evil, and is associated with the commission of heinous acts. Roberts/Apophis is sesquiquadrate asteroid Child 4580 at 27 Aries, identifying toward whom these acts would be directed.
Also on the Ascendant, an exact pairing of asteroids Gunn 18243 and Leukippos 5950 at 22 Virgo, and asteroid Atropos 273 at 28 Virgo. Gunn here is self-explanatory; Atropos is named for the mythic Greek Fate who severs the thread of life at death, and places the theme of mortality as prominent (angular) in the moment. Leukippos relates to transgender individuals, named for two separate mythic characters of the same name who switched gender. One refers to a Pisatian prince Leucippus, who disguised himself as a girl to be near the nymph Daphne but was discovered and killed by nymphs; and the other to the Cretan Leucippus, a female who was transformed into a male by the goddess Leto, at the behest of her mother. Gunn/Leukippos is an unvarnished image of a transgender individual with a firearm.
Opposing on the 26 Pisces Descendant are Saturn, ancient lord of death, at 0 Aries; and Neptune, associated with religion, fanaticism and mental health issues, at 1 Aries. Asteroid Roberta 335, a feminine form of Robert, appears at 20 Gemini, conjunct the 25 Gemini Midheaven, the point of highest elevation in the chart, and the focus of all eyes. Conjoined Roberta, but wide of the MC, are asteroid Sappho 80 at 17 Gemini, and an exact conjunction of asteroids Anubis 1912 and Westermann 31674 at 13 Gemini. Sappho is named for an ancient Greek lesbian poet, and is associated with gay and transgender individuals; Anubis is the Egyptian deity governing funerary rites, and Westermann is closest to Westman, the perpetrator’s surname. These points oppose asteroid Roberto 96257, another variation of Robert, at 10 Sagittarius, forming a T-Square with Roberts/Apophis.
Roberto forms a second T-Square with Damocles 5335 at 6 Pisces, a symbol of the threat or peril hanging unseen overhead, about to descend at any moment; and the Sun at 4 Virgo, conjoined asteroids Requiem 2254 at 28 Leo and Christian 192158 at 6 Virgo. The Sun brings focus, illumination and awareness; Requiem is named for the funeral mass for the dead, ironic in that mass was being celebrated at the moment of the attack. Christian identifies the emphasis on anti-Catholic religious prejudice and intolerance displayed by the shooter. A Grand Cross is completed with the addition of Uranus at 1 Gemini, ruling shootings generally, conjoined asteroid Osiris 1923, named for the Egyptian god of the dead.
Asteroid Robyn 5183, an alternate spelling of the shooter’s chosen name, appears at 16 Leo, conjunct Mercury (news, students, manifestos) at 19 Leo and asteroid Lachesis 120, named for the Fate who determines the span of life, at 21 Leo. These square asteroid West 2022 at 16 Taurus, a foreshortened version of Westman, uniting both first and last names of the shooter. Also in this mix is asteroid Fletcher 3265, representing one of the victims, eight-year-old Fletcher Merkel. It’s remarkable that Fletcher conjoins and squares asteroids identifying his killer.
The second victim, Harper Moyski, 10, is seen as asteroid Harper 16354 at 26 Aquarius, conjoined threatening Damocles at 3 Pisces, opposed Sun/Requiem (death) at 4 Virgo and 28 Leo, and T-Squared Uranus (shootings)/Osiris (death) at 1 and 3 Gemini.
The Moon at 23 Libra, ruling early childhood, conjoins asteroid Nemesis 128 at 29 Libra, noted as the bringer of ruin and destruction. An opposition to asteroid Child at 27 Aries reiterates the “threat (Nemesis) to youths (Moon, Child)” theme, while forming part of a second Grand Cross, incorporating Pluto at 1 Aquarius, modern lord of death, planetary ruler of homicide; and Venus at 2 Leo, together symbolizing the deaths (Pluto) of loved ones (Venus). Venus also rules art, and it’s significant that Westman wrought his homicidal (Pluto) carnage by shooting through a stained-glass window (Venus).
Jupiter at 17 Cancer, which rules religious institutions, schools and celebrity extending to notoriety, is conjunct asteroid Tantalus 2102 at 23 Cancer, another point noted for horrible, unthinkable acts, sextile Roberts/Apophis and Gunn/Leukippos.
The only point at station is asteroid Rip 7711, which functions as a death indicator in the form of the acronym RIP, “Rest In Peace,” a common tombstone inscription. At 8 Capricorn, Rip turns direct on September 3rd, and conjoins TNO Ixion 28978, named for the first murderer in Greek myth. This duo opposes asteroid Church 10343 at 6 Cancer, specifying where the atrocity would occur, in a T-Square with Mars at 13 Libra, ruling guns, attacks and violent death.
ABC News has given Robyn Westman a birth date of 17 June 2002, based on an examination of the driver’s license. The 26 Gemini Sun conjoins Saturn at 19 Gemini, widely opposed Pluto at 16 Sagittarius, linking Westman’s self-identity (Sun) with both ancient (Saturn) and modern (Pluto) planetary markers of death. Asteroid Roberta at 15 Gemini, more closely conjoined Saturn and opposed Pluto, deepens the association with death, further enhanced by a T-Square with asteroid Requiem (funeral mass for the dead) at 11 Pisces. Amazingly, a Grand Cross is completed by asteroid Christian at 20 Virgo (itself conjoined asteroid Roberto at 23 Virgo), for the individual (Roberta) who brought death (Saturn, Pluto, Requiem) to a Catholic (Christian) mass (Requiem).
Also conjoined Roberta is asteroid Lachesis at 8 Gemini, that determiner of lifespans, a role Westman performed in this attack. Note that the MC for the shooting, 25 Gemini, is just a degree off Westman’s Sun, energizing and bringing focus in the moment. On the hinter side, Lachesis also conjoins Mercury at 4 Gemini, ruling children and students, as well as indicating that Westman’s crimes would be newsworthy. Mercury further squares asteroid Anubis (funerary rites) at 1 Virgo, in a T-Square with TNO Ixion at 6 Sagittarius (murder), and this natal pattern was highlighted by transit with the Sun conjoined Anubis, Uranus conjunct Mercury and asteroid Roberto conjunct Ixion.
Asteroid Westermann at 15 Cancer is bound up in a stellium with Mars (firearms, attacks, violent death) at 13 Cancer, Atropos (death) at 16 Cancer, Apophis (pure evil) at 19 Cancer, and Jupiter (fame, notoriety) at 20 Cancer, uniting themes of violence, evil and death in a religious setting (also Jupiter). A T-Square is formed with asteroid Gunn at 12 Libra, and a triple conjunction of asteroids Leukippos, Osiris and Church at 21, 22 and 24 Aries. This adds the specificity of a transgendered individual (Leukippos) with a firearm (Gunn) causing death (Osiris) in a house of worship (Church). Asteroid Robyn at 6 Capricorn is too wide to create a full Grand Cross, but does form a T-Square with Mars and Gunn, adding more personalization in Westman’s psyche for deadly weaponry. The care taken to embellish the guns with personal messages before the attack well reflects this pattern.
Robyn has been transited by TNO Ixion (that mythic murderer) all year, with stations in April and November which fell a degree after and a degree before this self-chosen identifier. Robyn also opposes Mars and squares Gunn.
Incredibly, asteroid Rip appears at station at Westman’s birth, as it would for the attack which also led to the shooter’s death. At 29 Libra, Rip is trine the Sun and, prophetically, conjunct asteroid Child at 2 Scorpio, also stationary, spelling out “dead/Rip children/Child” rather emphatically, as a formative agent (station) in Westman’s psyche. Child turned direct three days before Westman’s birth, and Rip a week after. Rip was exactly conjoined by transit Nemesis for the shooting, with Child squared by Pluto.
Asteroids Harper and Fletcher, representing the two children Westman murdered, are found together in the chart of their killer, conjoined from 26 and 29 Taurus respectively. From there they conjoin Mercury (children, students), square Anubis (death) and Uranus (shootings), and oppose Ixion (murder). What else can be said?
The word “annunciation” means “the announcement of something.” Perhaps this slaughter of innocent children attending mass in Annunciation Catholic Church will announce a change of heart in American legislators, finally shamed into enacting common sense gun control.
