Tesla:  Out of Gas?

OK, Tesla makes electric vehicles, which don’t run on gasoline, but you get the idea.  Once valued in excess of a trillion dollars, Tesla Motors stock has plunged in 2025, shedding some $380 billion in value since January, which, not coincidentally, is when founder Elon Musk, the world’s richest man, began his stint with the second Trump administration, as head of the now notorious DOGE, Department of Government Efficiency.  The extra-governmental task force, with no statutory authority beyond the President’s fiat, attempted to trim $2 trillion from the federal budget, but came up a bit short.

The most generous estimate of its effectiveness comes in at $180 billion, not quite 10% of its goal, but its efficiency in creating human misery has been impressive indeed.  With almost 300,000 government workers fired, and international aid for things such as food for starving children and meds for AIDs patients cut globally, DOGE has managed to squeeze out the maximum suffering from the minimal “savings.”

tesla black eye
Musk definitely got a black eye put of his government service, with some $380 billion in Tesla Motors value lost during his time at DOGE; a pairing of asteroids Losse and Washingtonia opposed asteroids Donn with Ilona in the Tesla Motors chart warns of loss (Losse) related to interactions with the federal government (Washingtonia) based in Elon’s (Ilona) relationship with Donald Trump (Donn)

It was Musk’s identification with DOGE and Trump which precipitated his flagship company’s fall, with a grassroots protest movement termed “Tesla Takedown” emerging early in 2025, calling for a boycott on Tesla and other Musk-owned enterprises, which has proved far more effective than DOGE could ever hope to be.  On June 5th, Tesla Motors stock experienced its biggest one-day loss yet, plunging some 14% in value, down $153 billion that day alone.  Ironically, this came in the wake of a major split between Musk and Trump, who was given a golden key to the White House on his departure the week before.  Musk accepted his trinket with a black eye, which just goes to show that the universe does indeed have a sense of humor, because a metaphoric black eye is about all Musk gleaned from his government service.

On that date, the Sun at 15 Gemini conjoined Mercury at 22 Gemini, placing a focus (Sun) on news about cars (Mercury-ruled), while a square from these to asteroid Tesla 2244 (named for the inventor Nikola Tesla, also eponym of Musk’s company) at 21 Virgo highlighted Tesla Motors products specifically in the day’s news (also Mercury).  The Sun also widely opposed asteroid Muskau 29053 at 5 Sagittarius, closest to Musk, spotlighting the beleaguered billionaire as well.

Not to be outdone, asteroid Carr 3837 (alternate spelling of “car”) at 12 Cancer conjoins asteroid Ilona 1182 at 18 Cancer (closest phonetically to Elon), and both square asteroid Nemesis 128 at 15 Libra, noted as the bringer of ruin and destruction.  Adding emphasis, Nemesis is also at station, indicating a pivotal turning point has been reached, turning direct that very day.  With Uranus at 28 Taurus in semisquare to Carr, we see the cosmic connection to electric (Uranus) vehicles (Carr),and the sesquiquadrate to Nemesis confirms the loss.

tesla takedown
The Tesla Takedown movement began shortly after Musk embarked on his extreme cost-cutting measures for DOGE; a Solar Eclipse in March T-Squared the Sun/asteroid Tesla opposition in the Tesla Motors chart, as well as squaring Musk’s own Sun

A remarkable opposition from Pluto at 3 Aquarius, ruling the billions, conjoined asteroid NOT 2857 at 2 Aquarius, a general disqualifier or symbol of negation, to asteroid Losse 340579 at 2 Leo, phonetic match for “loss,” suggests the huge drop in value, with $153 billion vanished in a single day.  This polarity interfaces with the pattern described above, by sesquiquadrate to Sun/Venus and Tesla, and Losse on their midpoint, semisquare to each.  This creates a modified Thor’s Hammer, a “fated” pattern similar to a Yod, which indicates that a predestined moment has come to fruition.

With Elon Musk born 28 June 1971 at 7:30 AM SAST in Pretoria, South Africa (Rodden Rating B), Tesla Motors was also fated to be pivotal in his career, with natal asteroid Tesla at 29 Aries, hugging the 28 Aries MC, ruling career, status, reputation and place in the world.  Just out of orb of conjunction is natal asteroid Carr at 10 Taurus, closely inconjunct natal Uranus at 9 Libra, linking the themes of “electric” (Uranus) and “vehicles” (Carr) in Musk’s mind.

tesla trump car
The March Tesla Sales Event at the White House was an attempt to boost Tesla stock, but netted Musk just one new customer – Trump bought the Model S car he’s seen modeling here (I assume at a deep discount); for Tesla Motors’ largest single day stock drop, asteroids Nemesis and Carr were squared, in semisquare and sesquiquadrate to Uranus, spelling out downfall (Nemesis) for electric (Uranus) vehicles (Carr)

That connection is even more overt in the chart for the founding of Tesla Motors, on 1 July 2003, which sports asteroid Carr at 6 Virgo opposed Uranus at 2 Pisces.  Typical for self-referential asteroids, the Sun at 9 Cancer opposes asteroid Tesla at 15 Capricorn.  The Sun as also part of a Grand Trine with Uranus, paired with Mars at 5 Pisces, and asteroid Achilles 588 at 0 Scorpio, embedded at station, denoting pivotal importance (turning direct June 29th).  Mars/Uranus shows electric (Uranus) energy (Mars) as the company’s raison d’etre (Sun), and Achilles suggests Tesla will become a leader in its field (as the mythic Achilles was the military leader of the Greeks in their war on Troy).  But Achilles also hints at some inherent weakness or vulnerability, something which threatens to destroy it (as in “Achilles heel”).

The precise nature of this threat can be intuited from further asteroid placements:  namely, Whitehouse 4036 and NOT, at 4 and 5 Pisces.  This identifies the US presidency, or an occupant thereof (Whitehouse), playing a critical role in undermining (NOT) Tesla, moreover suggesting that the comeuppance is sudden and unexpected (Uranus), based in animosity or antipathy (Mars).

tesla stock
On June 5th, Tesla stock plummeted $153 billion in value, following a Musk/Trump bad breakup; asteroid Tesla was squared the Sun, sesquiquadrate Pluto and semisquare asteroid Losse, placing a spotlight (Sun) on the loss (Losse) of billions (Pluto) for the company (Tesla). Elon, ya wanna rethink that choice of headgear now?

Gilding the cosmic lily, Achilles is also on the fulcrum of a T-Square with an opposition from asteroids Losse and Washingtonia 886 at 0 and 5 Leo to asteroid Donn 4689 with Ilona at 29 Capricorn and 1 Aquarius.  This clearly establishes the vulnerability (Achilles) to loss (Losse) as related to interactions with the federal government generally (Washingtonia) and Elon Musk’s (Ilona) relationship with Donald Trump (Donn) specifically.  Confirmation of the toxic nature of this interaction is provided by a pairing of asteroid Troemper 12830 (our celestial referent for The Donald) at 16 Leo with Jupiter (denoting politics) at 18 Leo, opposed asteroid Muskau at 15 Aquarius (Musk) with Neptune at 12 Aquarius (indicating toxicity as well as an erosion or evaporation; in this case, of capital).

Note that at the time of its greatest loss, transit asteroid Losse at 2 Leo had just made its return to its natal place in the Tesla Motors chart.  This reactivates the entire pattern, bringing the potential for loss from government interaction into manifestation.  In addition, transit Tesla at 21 Virgo is squared natal Nemesis at 23 Sagittarius, that point of undoing, often self-created; as well as natal Pluto at 18 Sagittarius, again ruling the billions, also indicating a devastating outcome.

tesla nazi
Elon Musk’s Nazi salute lite at Trump’s inauguration didn’t go down well with investors either; Musk has personally lost more than $100 billion as a result of his support for Trump, as exemplified in natal asteroid Losse conjoined Tesla Motors’ natal asteroid Troemper, activated by transit Mars, signaling the hostility (Mars) created by his DOGE venture, which adversely affected his bottom line

In 2025 so far, Elon Musk’s personal wealth has reportedly been eroded by some $100 billion, a third of that coming in the aftermath of his very public feud with Donald Trump.  That little spat cost Musk $34 billion, the second-largest loss ever in the history of the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.

And yet, Musk remains the world’s richest man.  Go figure.
