A trio of stories this summer show Donald Trump in his best worst light, from financial disclosure documents that reveal a stunning level of corruption, to a quick-change flight plan that left Cabinet members and reporters hung out as bait, and renewed pressure on NATO allies to cough up territories to which he hasn’t the shadow of a right.  It’s the Summer of The Donald – heated, sticky and oppressive.

TRUMP’S WHITE HOUSE WINDFALL

On 30 June 2026, US President Donald Trump filed his Annual Financial Disclosure form with the Office of Government Ethics, in one of the few presidential norms with which he complies.  The statement covers the first year of his second term, and shows a staggering $2.2 billion income for 2025, a testament to Trump’s ability to milk his Commander-in-Chief cash cow for all it’s worth, and then some.

Of that total, which includes real estate, publishing royalites, licensing deals, lawsuit settlements and gifts, the lion’s share comes from the Trump family’s cryptocurrency businesses, with $1.4 billion reaped from such ventures as the $TRUMP meme coin, released in January 2025, mere weeks before his second inauguration.  The initial offering cost on the coin, a blockchain boondoggle for most investors, was $75, and now, 18 months later, has dropped to $1.70, a 98% loss in value.  Trump and a small cadre of early investors raked in $4 billion from the scheme, while nearly one million little guys took it on the chin to the tune of $3.81 billion in losses.

None of that matters to Trump, whose $500 million in token sales and holding stakes in the family’s World Liberty Financial company, which markets the coin, was eclipsed by $635 million netted in transfer fees, payable whenever the coin is bought or sold, whatever its value.  Add in $86.5 million in settlements from bogus civil suits lodged by the president against CBS, Meta, YouTube and X, and another nearly $500 million in personal gifts (including the value of comped sports tickets), and we reach the inconceivable grand total.  In contrast, his predecessor Joe Biden, head of the “Biden Crime Family,” as Trump would have it, scored just $13,600 in gifts for the entirety of his four-year term.

No one can say that Trump hasn’t lived up to the potential for corruption displayed in the chart for his second inauguration, on 20 January 2025.  The 0 Aquarius Sun closely conjoined Pluto at 1 Aquarius suggests a focus (Sun) on issues involving power, vast sums of money, scandal and corruption, all Pluto-ruled.  Corruption (Pluto) is the beating heart (Sun) of Trump’s second term, which ironically, is committed in plain sight, for all to see (Sun), in what administration spokespeople term “the most transparent in history.”  Can’t argue with that!

A semisquare to Saturn at 16 Pisces identifies the presidency as the vehicle for this unwonted largesse, reiterated by a square to asteroid Whitehouse 4036 at 2 Scorpio, doubling down on the Oval Office venue.  Asteroid Donn 4689 at 17 Pisces conjoined Saturn shows Trump personally as the fons et origo of this presidential windfall, while a square from asteroid Nemesis 128 at 27 Libra to Sun/Pluto underscores the leitmotif of the administration as bent on vengeance and retribution, also on full display.

When the shocking extent of Trump’s benefiting from his office was revealed on June 30th, the skies lent an explicit endorsement of the corruption theme, with asteroid Whitehouse at 0 Aquarius now conjoined Pluto at 4 Aquarius, combining corruption and the presidency even more emphatically than in the inaugural chart, and opposed Jupiter at 0 Leo, highlighting the magnitude (Jupiter) of the payoff.

Mercury at 26 Cancer had turned retrograde the prior day, a period of going back over old ground, aptly timed to coincide with the release of documents (Mercury) detailing (Mercury again) prior (retrograde) earnings.  Mercury aligned with Donald Trump’s natal Saturn/Venus conjunction at 23 and 25 Cancer, which in itself speaks to extracting monetary value (Venus) from the presidency (Saturn).

Transit Venus at 19 Leo added to the chorus, conjoined asteroids Washingtonia, Bilk 4425 (both at 20 Leo) and Donn at 24 Leo, for a shorthand celestial rendering of “profit (Venus) for Trump (Donn) from suspect financial dealing (Bilk) while in federal office (Washingtonia).”  Neptune at 4 Aries weighed in with an emphasis on fraud, deception and fakery, squared the Sun at 8 Cancer, itself exactly conjunct Trump’s natal Mercury, and exactly sesquiquadrate transit Venus.

The cherry atop this cosmic corruption sundae is asteroid Swindle 8690, another symbol of fiscal chicanery and fraud.  Transit Swindle at 11 Gemini is an exact match for the second administration’s natal Jupiter, portraying the massive scale (Jupiter) of the corruption (Swindle) perpetrated thus far.  The administration’s natal Swindle at 5 Capricorn is closely conjoined Trump’s natal asteroid Whitehouse at (4 Capricorn, mute testimony to his intention to make his second term pay big dividends, by any means available (Swindle).

TRUMP’s FIVE

In a madcap caper worthy of a Hollywood movie franchise, Donald Trump performed a bit of aerial sleight-of-hand on his return flight from attending a NATO summit in Turkey on July 8^th, changing planes not once, but twice, in reaction to Secret Service concerns about a possible Iranian attack on Air Force One.  Trump flew to Ankara on his new luxury jet, gifted to him by the Qataris in 2025, which features an ornate conference room, an executive office area, a faux library with leather-bound books, cream and gold-toned furnishings, plush white leather seating, wood paneling, and private bedrooms.

What it doesn’t feature is adequate security, lacking the defensive capacity of the original to fend off such things as ballistic missile arracks.  Chatter captured by intelligence services suggested that Iran, which shares a border with Turkey, might attempt an in-flight assassination of the president, so Trump switched from Air Bribe One back to the older plane.  But, being Trump, he needed to lie about the rationale, saying the newer model was being sent on ahead to the UK, so American troops stationed there could admire it firsthand.

That was a story so patently ridiculous as to invite investigation, and within days New York Times reporters revealed the true cause to have been security issues.  Trump was likely so embarrassed by the failure of his new jet to pass the smell test on security, despite a $400 million retrofit of the plane, at taxpayer expense, that he felt compelled to fabricate an obvious lie to “explain” the switch.   (That cost is an estimate released by the administration – private analyses of the work being done to bring the jet, which Trump will retain after leaving office, up to speed suggests the price tag for American taxpayers could be as high as $1 billion.)

Odd enough, but that’s not the end of the story.  Because Trump never flew on the old Air Force One either.

Subsequent reporting showed that, after ostentatiously greeting the press pool, Cabinet members and other government officials aboard the plane, Trump retreated to the private compartments, from where he was smuggled, in a catering truck, to a third military plane, to make the actual flight.  Trump took just four associates with him, leaving the rest as bait, risking their lives to no purpose, and without their knowledge.

The lucky group making up Trump’s Five included only one high-level official, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, as well as trusted aides Natalie Harp, AKA the Human Printer, Trump’s emotional support staffer, an executive assistant who follows the president about, continually feeding him hard copies of internet postings that praise him; and Walt Nauta, his former Mar-a-Lago Diet Coke connection, now Director of Oval Office Operations (which apparently still includes providing inordinate amounts of Diet Coke).  The final Chosen One for the Trump’s Five caper was Dan Scavino, originally one of Trump’s golf caddies, promoted to White House Director of Social Media in the first administration, and now White House Deputy Chief of Staff.

Trump’s logistical legerdemain is, of course, reflected in the skies for the July 8^th return flight, which left the tarmac at 8:45 PM local time in Ankara.  With asteroid Donn 4689 exactly conjunct Venus at 28 Leo, we’re seeing which folks Trump (Donn) truly values (Venus), where his heart lies.  A Grand Trine with the Moon at 28 Aries and asteroid Irani 18987 at 22 Sagittarius shows his desire (Venus) to go home (Moon) and the factor that may impede that safe passage (Irani).

Venus/Donn is also broadly conjunct asteroid America 916 at 6 Virgo, and this in turn opposes a combination of asteroid Hermes 69230 with Damocles 5335 at 3 and 9 Pisces.  Hermes was noted as a Trickster God in ancient Greece, always ready to employ subterfuge and misdirection to attain his ends, while Damocles represents the looming threat or peril.  Further, Venus/Donn is also tightly squared asteroid Loke 4862 at 27 Scorpio, named for the Norse Trickster God commonly rendered in English as “Loki,” doubling down on the sense of sneaky Donnie digging into his bag of tricks.

Another cosmic allusion to the threat, and the remedy adopted to avoid it, is seen in Mars at 7 Gemini, conjoined Uranus at 4 Gemini, as well as asteroids Ceres 1 and Cook 3061 at 16 and 11 Gemini.  Mars is the threat of attack, and the weapons potentially employed; Uranus rules jets and air travel; Ceres rules foods and nutrition generally, and with Cook can be taken to refer to the catering truck used to make the Great Escape. [One internet wag cheekily suggested that the Secret Service’s codename for the catering truck was “Panda Express,” since they serve Orange Chicken.]

A Sun/retrograde Mercury conjunction at 16 and 23 Cancer places a focus (Sun) on travel arrangements Mercury), which have to be reconsidered (retrograde) and amended in light of new information (Mercury also) about the Iranian threat.  The Sun reaches out to a Grand Cross, in square to asteroids Achilles 588 at 12 Libra and Ankara 1457 at 16 Aries, opposed a pairing of asteroids Arachne 407 and Nemesis 128 at 14 and 15 Capricorn.  Achilles represents a weakness or vulnerability which is exposed; Ankara is the city where the flight took place; Arachne signals complexity, entanglement, and a potential trap; Nemesis signifies an enemy or opponent.

The cherished members of Trump’s Five are also present in celestial array.  Fittingly, the hip-attached Natalie Harp, represented by asteroid Natalie 448 at 15 Sagittarius, is cheek-by-jowl with asteroid Troemper 28130 (our cosmic referent for The Donald) at 18 Sagittarius.  As Above, So Below – these two are apparently inseparable.  This dynamic duo rests on the fulcrum of a T-Square, squaring asteroids Daniel 2589 at 17 Virgo, for Dan Scavino, and Peter 1716 at 28 Pisces, for Pete Segseth.  Asteroid Walter 8021 at 28 Capricorn, for aide Walt Nauta, conjoins asteroid Whitehouse 4036 at 29 Capricorn, affirming his Oval Office bona fides, and exactly inconjunct Donn.  Asteroid Whitehouse’s conjunction with Pluto at 4 Aquarius, modern lord of death, suggests the possibility of a fatal incident (Pluto) involving the US President (Whitehouse).

Lastly, asteroid Lie 26955 at 13 Taurus, conjoined the 18 Taurus IC of the flight, perfectly portrays Donald Trump’s trademark deception (Lie) as the foundation of the situation (IC).  The only question left for Trump’s Five is, will there be a sequel?

GREENLAND BACK ON THE BOIL

At that same NATO conference, on July 7^th, Donald Trump repeated his demands that NATO member and ally Denmark surrender its sovereign territory of Greenland, the world’s largest island, to the US.  Making false claims that the island was surrounded by Chinese and Russia ships just waiting to pounce on the relatively undefended self-governing semiautonomous territory of the Danish crown, Trump cited US national security interests as the rationale for the unprecedented landgrab.  “That should be controlled by the United States, not by Denmark,” stated Trump, conveniently forgetting that by the terms of Article Five, all NATO alliance countries are already pledged to come to the defense of another if attacked.  Trump then made a rambling conflation of being denied Greenland with a threat to remove all US troops from Europe.

Not surprisingly, the US President’s coercion is portrayed in the skies by asteroid Whitehouse 4036 at 29 Capricorn, symbol of the presidency, conjoined Pluto at 4 Aquarius, planetary ruler of coercion and manipulation, on the fulcrum of a Grand Cross, opposed Jupiter at 1 Leo, arbiter of foreign relations, with asteroids Green 12016 at 7 Taurus and Toro 1685 at 0 Scorpio in square, with Green identifying Greenland as the point of tension, and Toro noted for bullying and intimidation.

As well, the 15 Cancer Sun squared Saturn at 14 Aries suggests harsh, repressive rhetoric and Trump’s hardline stance on acquiring Greenland’s sovereignty, also in Saturn’s bailiwick.  And asteroid Troemper 28130 at 19 Sagittarius in square to asteroid Danmark 2117 at 23 Virgo, named for Denmark, depicts the tension (square) between Trump (Troemper) and Greenland’s owner (Danmark).

That the US, and Trump in particular, could have an inimical effect on Greenland’s status or destiny, is foreshadowed in the Arctic island’s chart for self-rule autonomy, authorized by the Danish parliament on 21 June 2009.

Asteroid Green at 18 Leo conjoins asteroid Washingtonia 886 at 15 Leo and squares asteroid America 916 at 25 Scorpio, implying close ties of some form with the US (America) government (Washingtonia).  But the celestial neutrality of this connection is swayed toward the negative by a stunning exact triple conjunction of asteroids Whitehouse, Toro and Nemesis 128, all at 24 Taurus in square, and Damocles 5335 at 20 Aquarius in opposition, representing a looming threat or impending doom.  The Taurean points describe a US president (Whitehouse) who is an enemy or opponent (Nemesis) and uses bullying and intimidation (Toro) to attain his ends, which may seem to some as tending toward Greenland’s ruin (also Nemesis).

Which president that might be is seen as asteroids Troemper and Achilles 588 at 23 and 24 Aries, trine Green, and establishing Trump (Troemper) as a source of weakness or vulnerability (Achilles).  As well, asteroid Donn 4689 at 18 Virgo conjoins Saturn at 15 Virgo, opposed Uranus at 26 Pisces, underscoring Trump’s (Donn) controversial claims (Uranus) to Greenland’s sovereignty (Saturn).

Matters came to head once more when Greenland Energy Company, a Texas-based firm with ties to Trump, landed drilling equipment on Greenland on July 29^th, without authorization.  A week later, Greenlandic authorities issued a strong warning regarding the unapproved equipment drop in Nerlerit Inaat in eastern Greenland, a protected region.  On August 11^th, Greenland Energy Company announced it would reschedule initial exploratory operations to the winter of 2027, while the main heavy drilling rig contracted from Canada’s Stampede Drilling remained in Canada pending official regulatory consent.  A Solar Eclipse on August 12^th at 20 Leo highlighted these developments, closely conjoining Greenland’s asteroid Green and setting off the Grand Cross of energies related to the US and Trump as threats.

The August 28^th Lunar Eclipse at 4 Pisces conjoins Trump’s natal Descendant at 29 Aquarius, and is semisquare his natal asteroid Green at 16 Aries, highlighting (eclipse) his fractious (semisquare) relationship (Descendant) with Greenland (Green).
