There are once again new players in the ongoing shitshow that is the Trump administration. As Troemper came to station in late April, Trump announced a major shake-up in his legal team. On April 19, former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani, a close Trump confidante during the campaign who thus far had been frozen out of employment in the administration, joined the motley crew representing the president in his myriad legal difficulties. On May 2 Ty Cobb, lead counsel responding to the Mueller investigation, announced his retirement, to be replaced by Emmet Flood, formerly Bill Clinton’s counselor during his impeachment proceedings. I think we can all see where this is headed…

That same night, in his first official public appearance as Trump’s lawyer, Rudy Giuliani appeared on Fox News with Sean Hannity and totally blew up his new boss’s story regarding his knowledge of the payment of $130,000 in hush money to porn star Stormy Daniels, scant weeks before the November 2016 election. Despite the fact that less than a month previously, Trump had unequivocally stated to reporters that he knew nothing about the payment, Giuliani declared that not only was he aware of it, he had repaid the “loan” Michael Cohen advanced for it.

Two days after that, Trump asserted before reporters that Rudy, “a great guy but he just started a day ago”, was new on the job and would eventually “get his facts straight”, though he once again declined to state precisely what those are, insisting instead that his story had never changed. Which, of course, it has. Repeatedly.

So let’s take a look and see what the stars have to say about this legal shuffle, beginning with “America’s Mayor,” Rudy Giuliani.

Born Rudolph Giuliani on 28 May 1944 at 2:30 PM EWT in Brooklyn, New York (Rodden rating A) Rudy has a tentative relationship with the truth himself. Mercury at 12 Taurus is in a T-Square with asteroids Lie at 15 Leo and Truth at 19 Aquarius, indicating a primal struggle between the two in Giuliani’s mind. This could go either way, but Lie is closer in orb to Mercury than Truth, and supported by its conjunction with Jupiter at 20 Leo. Put Jupiter and Lie together and you have the “Big Lie”, or an awful lot of little ones, as Jupiter encourages excess and increase. Mercury squared Jupiter on its own encourages verbal diarrhea, something Giuliani evidences frequently; the man just cannot shut up (Trump shares this aspect).

Also with Mercury is asteroid Troemper at 8 Taurus, making Giuliani a solid choice as Trump’s “mouthpiece”, at least on paper. Giuliani’s natal asteroid Rudolf at 12 Cancer also conjoins Trump’s natal Mercury at 8 Cancer, doubling down on the association, and reinforcing the sense that he speaks for the President. As well, Rudolf squares Trump’s natal Chiron/Jupiter at 14 and 17 Libra, perhaps activating the potential for a political (Jupiter) wounding (Chiron) latent in that combination. Mercury is also within orb of Trump’s natal Lie at 17 Taurus, spurring his urge toward untruth.

“Oh, my GOD! Did I just say that?”

The planetary ruler of lies and deception is Neptune; Giuliani has his at 1 Libra, about to station direct, and in trine to the 7 Gemini Sun. In addition to potential bring untruthful, Neptune with the Sun makes Giuliani “slick”, a slippery customer, one who tries to oil out of prior statements or commitments, difficult to pin down. The other point at station in the chart is asteroid Nemesis at 2 Aquarius, forming a Grand Trine with Neptune and the Sun. Nemesis represents undoing, often karmically ordained, and its status as stationary in Giuliani’s chart (it turned retrograde three days after his birth), in trine to the Sun, potentially establishes him in the role of nemesis for others.

Adding fuel to the dumpster fire in the Oval Office is an exact square from Giuliani’s natal TNO Chaos at 22 Pisces, representing anarchy and disorder, to his asteroid Whitehouse at 22 Gemini. Whitehouse falls exactly on Donald Trump’s natal Sun. You just can’t make this shit up. With this combination Giuliani, as is quickly becoming apparent, only increases the chaos in the administration. Far from pouring oil on troubled waters, his frantic days-long back-pedaling after the Hannity interview added to the confusion and turmoil surrounding the Stormy Daniels case. Natal asteroid Juliana (for “Giuliani”) at 24 Aquarius exactly squares Trump’s natal MC at 24 Taurus, making Giuliani a potent influence on Trump’s career, reputation and status, for good or ill.

“I am such an idiot! Somebody stop me before I speak again!”

Rudy’s natal Saturn at 27 Gemini is conjoined his 29 Gemini MC, providing that “law and order” gloss which made Giuliani’s political career. Saturn is also within orb of Trump’s Sun, perhaps offering some self-control or discipline, but also carrying with it the possibility of legal penalties or limitations of some kind. With his own Sun conjunct Uranus at 8 Gemini, mirroring that same conjunction in Trump’s chart, Giuliani is unlikely to be a calming influence on the President, or anyone else.

This is reiterated by how Giuliani’s PNAs appear in Trump’s nativity. Natal Juliana at 15 Gemini conjoins Trump’s natal Uranus, encouraging his shoot-from-the-hip, erratic, scattershot style, and trines his natal Jupiter at 17 Libra, prompting more over-the-top behaviors. Themis, named for the Greek goddess of justice, is there also, at 17 Gemini (will we see Giuliani take over for an ousted Jeff Sessions at the Justice Department?)

Outgoing lead White House counsel and barber shop quartet aficionado Ty Cobb; is it just a coincidence that he shares his name with one of baseball’s most notorious racists?

Trump’s natal asteroid Rudolf at 7 Pisces exactly opposes his natal asteroid Truth at 7 Virgo, and forms a loose T-Square with natal Troemper at 2 Sagittarius. That’s significant in itself, suggesting that Giuliani mirrors (opposition) Trump’s sense of the truth, though they are also sometimes at cross-purposes (the square to Troemper).

But perhaps more problematic is how Trump’s Rudolf impacts Giuliani’s chart, closely conjunct an exact pairing of asteroids Icarus and Damocles at 6 Pisces, which in turn squares Giuliani’s Sun. This suggests a doom hanging overhead (Damocles) stemming directly from Giuliani personally (his Sun, and Trump’s natal Rudolf), based in rash, reckless acts or words, heedless of the consequences (Icarus). I dunno, like totally exploding a cover story about a scandal on national TV? Giuliani’s “explanation” of Trump’s situation vis-a-vis the Stormy Daniels case in his tete-a-tete with Hannity, an attempt to dampen the fires, certainly stirred up the embers into a full-fledged conflagration, with new avenues of possible wrongdoing opening like flower petals in the sun.

Trump welcomes Giuliani to the legal team; be careful what you wish for…

When Rudy was added to the presidential legal apparatus on April 19^th, amazingly, there is an exact conjunction of asteroid Juliana with Whitehouse, at 9 Aries! Exactly squared Saturn (the Chief Executive, as well as legal penalties) at 9 Capricorn, no less, and tightly squared Trump’s natal Mercury at 8 Cancer. Nemesis is nearby at 15 Aries, squaring transit Mars at 17 Capricorn, signature of a possible downfall (Nemesis) based in a sexual matter (Mars), and opposing Trump’s Chiron/Jupiter (political wounds). Transit Achilles at 1 Aquarius, representing a point of inherent weakness or vulnerability, closely conjoins Giuliani’s natal Nemesis, casting him as an agent of retribution, exploiting others’ flaws or faults. Asteroid Rudolf at 24 Pisces is exactly sextile Trump’s Midheaven, squared his Sun, and opposed his natal asteroid Moskva (for Moscow, Russia’s capital) at 22 Virgo. It’s also trine transit Jupiter, ruling lawyers, at 20 Scorpio.

No birth data is available for incoming White House counsel Emmet Flood, but on the day his hiring was announced, May 2, asteroid Flood at 4 Aquarius conjoined Achilles at 1 Aquarius and broadly squared the Sun at 12 Taurus (now, where have we heard that degree before? Oh, right – Giuliani’s natal Mercury, highlighted on the day of the Hannity interview by an exact conjunction from the transit Sun!). The solar square boosts Flood’s visibility for the day, and the nod to Achilles indicates he is being brought in to shore up a perceived vulnerability in the President’s legal defense. There is no “Emmet” asteroid, but Emita at 8 Pisces conjoins Trump’s Rudolf and opposes his Truth. Asteroid Emma, another suitable variant, falls at 23 Scorpio, conjunct transit Jupiter and Trump’s natal IC, sextile his Moskva and broadly sextile transit Troemper, fresh from its direct station at 18 Virgo.

It’s still unclear exactly where Trump’s legal troubles are talking him, but what does seem definite is that, whatever befalls, Emmet Flood will have his hands full. And Rudy Giuliani won’t keep his mouth shut.
