At a “No Kings” rally in Fairhope, Alabama on Saturday, 18 October 2025, a 61-year-old-woman in a huge inflatable penis costume, draped in an American flag, carrying a sign reading “No Dick-Tator,” was arrested by police, after refusing to remove the outfit, which authorities deemed “obscene.”   Jeana Gamble was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after it took three policemen to wrestle her to the ground and apply the cockring.  Errr, handcuffs.  There is no reporting on whether pistols were pulled out and cocked. Bystanders suggested the cops had bitten off more than they could chew.

The phallic fallout occurred outside the Baldwin Square Shopping Center on Greeno Road, after police received complaints about disrupted traffic at the protest.  Fairhope Police Lieutenant Shane Nolte described the incident:  “Upon arrival, an officer observed an individual in a phallic costume near the Baldwin Square Shopping Center.  The officer approached the woman and requested that she remove the costume, which is deemed obscene in a public setting; however, she refused to comply.”

Bizarre as this story is, the cosmos was more than willing to oblige in a celestial rendering of the incident, with an assist from penis euphemism asteroids Dick 17458, Wiener 18182, Dong 150520, Johnson 5905 and Pecker 1631.

A general propensity for females in disguise during the timeframe is suggested by the opposition from Venus at 5 Libra to Neptune at 0 Aries, ruling fanciful costumes and disguise.  That such a person might cross the line of what others consider obscene is intimated by the presence of TNO Salacia 120347 at 11 Aries, also opposed Venus (females).  Salacia is named for the Roman goddess of the sea, and the root of our word “salacious,” meaning lewd, scandalous, titillating or enticing in a sexual context.  This provides a rather wide scope for expression, but the form this particular salacious costume took was encouraged by asteroids Dick at 7 Capricorn and Wiener at 3 Cancer, forming a Grand Cross with the Venus/Salacia “pole”-arity. 

Jeana Gamble was further prompted to don the dickish garb for her protest by asteroid Jeanne 1281 (closest to Jeana) at 1 Virgo, conjoined asteroid Johnson at 29 Leo and opposed asteroid Dong at 23 Aquarius, creating a strong temporary self-identification with the male member.  This polarity forms a T-Square with Uranus, ruling protests, at 0 Gemini; given these facts, what could be more natural than a cock costume at a protest rally?  The costume’s alleged obscenity can also be intuited by a semisquare from Jeanne/Johnson to asteroid Smuts 1731 at 14 Libra, with “smut” a colloquialism for pornographic material.

But Jeana should have seen this coming, with Damocles 5335 also opposed Jeanne, from 29 Aquarius, and asteroid d’Arrest 9133 conjoined it.  Damocles is the impending doom, and d’Arrest signals just that – arrest, detention, charges filed.  Further police activity surrounding genitalia is intimated by a conjunction of asteroids Pecker and Copland 4532 (“cop-land”) at 10 and 12 Virgo, semisquare the 25 Libra Sun, placing a bright spotlight on the incident, which even made its way into a Stephen Colbert monologue several nights later.  As well, a blending of criminality and sexuality with an official police response is seen as Pluto at 1 Aquarius squared asteroid Polizzi 31888 at 5 Scorpio, cognate to the German “Polizei” and Italian “Polizia,” both meaning “police.” 

Official police spokesman Shane Nolte got his literal moment in the sun from the event, with asteroid Shane 1994 at 22 Libra conjoined the Sun.  The venue is seen as Saturn at 26 Pisces, ruling law enforcement and punishment, squared to a pairing of asteroids Baldwin 4831 (for the Baldwin Square Shopping Center) and Green 12106 (for the Greeno Road address) at 27 and 29 Sagittarius.

The anti-authoritarian, anti-Trump “No Kings” protest was attended by an estimated 7 million Americans in some 2700 communities across the country.  The timing was right, with Jupiter at 25 Cancer, ruling royalty, conjoined by asteroid Donn 4689 at 18 Cancer (specifying Trump as the would-be monarch), opposed asteroid NOT 2857 at 23 Capricorn, a general disqualifier or symbol of negation and refusal.  Again, a T-Square with the Sun placed a beacon of awareness on the event.  This was the second No Kings rally, with attendance up approximately 40% over the 5 million participating at the first rally in June.  More events are planned.
